Baliseur — Privacy Policy

The field book for volunteer trail markers

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Summary

No account No server No tracking No ads

Baliseur does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything you record — sections, marks, tournées, notes and photos — is stored only in the app's local storage on your own device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere unless you personally choose to share a report or a photo using your device's own Share sheet.

What Baliseur stores, and where

Permissions Baliseur may ask for

Each permission is requested only at the moment it's needed, and you may decline any of them — Baliseur keeps working, simply without that feature.

What Baliseur never does

Children's privacy

Baliseur is a professional field tool for volunteer trail maintenance and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.

Data retention and deletion

All data lives exclusively on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting Baliseur deletes all of its data with it. You can also erase your field book at any time from Settings → "Erase and reload the GR 34 example", which replaces everything with the demo section.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
